Town & Country Cleaning takes a different approach to our staff… we recruit better cleaners on better pay, and we trust, respect and empower our staff to manage their jobs.
We have always paid above the national minimum wage and support the higher living wage. If a customer is happy, we never reassign work giving you personal job security.
What sets Town & Country Cleaning apart is the longevity in the relationships it has, beit customers and our employees, many of whom have been with us for over 10 years and enjoy high levels of job satisfaction and are equally loyal to the company. We continually work with each member of staff to ensure they get the jobs, hours and arrangements they need to stay with us for the long term.
When we win a new contract we always offer the work to our existing staff and then anyone they can refer in terms of their cleaning competence and reliability, before advertising more widely. We always stipulate a minimum of 2 years cleaning experience and references from previous employors and customer, and when circumstances necessitate, we also provide a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
The majority of our contracts are “key jobs” giving great flexibility for our staff to complete the work in hours that suit them. We usually work in teams of two and support each other when it comes to finding cover for holidays and any abscence. Everyone is vetted at interview, provided with uniform and paid every 4 weeks via a BACS paymanent directly into their bank account.
