Town & Country Cleaning has been awarded the contract to clean at Bohunt Secondary School in Liphook with a specialist deep clean of all the kitchen facilities including the main kitchen and student cooking facilities.
The clean involves an extensive deep clean of the kitchens including the ceiling, walls, floors and all the equipment, and is part of the school maintaining its 5-star food hygiene accreditation.
Lee Turner, Managing Director of Town & Country Cleaning said, “Bohunt is an extremely important customer to us. We will do everything we can to ensure a professional and cost effective service is delivered to the school. Being an academy school, Bohunt has greater flexibility to manage its contractors and it’s great that they awarded the contract to us”.
As part of Town & Country Cleaning’s commitment to Bohunt, Lee Turner recently attended a BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management) members’ event to learn best practice on campus FM. The event was held at the University of Sussex, just outside Brighton and included industry leading companies such as Compass and Interserve, as well as the Chief Financial Officer of the University of Sussex.
Bohunt has an “outstanding” Ofsted rating and recently won two TES (Times Educational Supplement) awards for 2014: Secondary School of the Year and Overall School of the Year.
“Bohunt secured this award for its persistent efforts to share what it has learned, as well excelling across the board, not just academically but in terms of students’ personal development too. Bohunt is an outstanding school that acts beyond its own walls to share its highly successful approach – and it deserves all the plaudits it gets”.
Bohunt School is a mixed Academy with more than 1,300 students aged 11-16 years old, and the state school of choice for Liphook and surrounding region across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex. With a high level of achievement and standards, its ethos is capsulated in three simple words: enjoy, respect, achieve.
Bohunt’s kitchen and canteen promote positive eating habits by offering a range of healthy and interesting menus to pupils, staff and visitors to the school, and Harrison Catering provides all the catering.
Lee Turner said, “The plan is to become an integral part of the management team at Bohunt to deliver an ever-increasing level of service to the school. We have the eyes and ears of many parents whose children attend the school and we are committed to giving an exceptional service. We recently gave the school a management report detailing our recommendations to improve the campus building to reflect its academic and teaching achievements”.
