Town & Country Cleaning has been awarded the opportunity to clean multiple retail showrooms across the south of England, which involves supporting the launch of newly refurbished kitchen and bathroom retail showrooms.

The first showroom to be cleaned was Haslemere, followed shortly thereafter by Portsmouth and another 5 showroom sites are to follow across the South. All showroom cleans involve a huge focus on attention to detail and high-touch cleaning. Each of the showrooms has been newly refurbished to a very high standard with brand new kitchen and bathroom units and full tiling throughout.

Lee Turner, Managing Director of Town & Country Cleaning said, “The Haslemere clean was a top priority. Their customer had moved quickly to open the showroom without the project and cleaning being completed. This is rare but also demonstrates where retail is at in the economy…every aspect of a retail operation needs to be optimised”.

“The showroom staff were left in the position of having to clean the customer facilities themselves, which we rectified by immediately assigning one of our cleaners to the site even before we had received purchase order confirmation. I believe this was the right thing to do, as it was an opportunity to demonstrate our customer service to both our shop fitting partner as well as their customer. Within an hour of knowing about the showroom we had made an immediate impact”.

The second project in the space of two days was to complete on the Portsmouth showroom, which was larger in scale and already cleaned to a basic standard.  Town & Country Cleaning quickly completed on this project to allow the showroom to look its best as trade picks up before Easter.

The cleaning operation generally involves 4 experienced professional cleaners for a medium-sized retail showroom using Prochem Shockaway, which is an anti-static/dust removal cleaning agent that is wet then dry buffed to a high-finish using microfiber cloths. The floor has a manual treatment of first agitating and scrubbing with grout remover, followed by all water being completely removed using a large wet vacuum cleaner. At all times the fixtures/fittings are both cleaned and protected, and work is completed only on the say so of the acting site manager with a signed customer satisfaction sheet.
