Town & Country Cleaning has recently completed an end-of-tenancy clean of a large prestigious listed building in Godalming, Surrey.
The project included accommodation over four floors with basement kitchen and utility area, the ground floor having multiple reception rooms and office space, and a further two floors of bedrooms, bathrooms and en-suites. The clean was a full sparkle clean involving all the fixtures and fittings, detailed spot cleaning of all the windows internally, externally and frames, as well as an extensive carpet deep clean.
Lee Turner, Managing Director of Town & Country Cleaning said, “this property was huge and the carpet clean alone took most of the day for two cleaners. We have a brand new professional Prochem Steempro 2000, which enables us to do a really good job reviving old carpets”.
“Cleaning for prestigious homes comes with its own set of challenges. This property was huge, old and had many character features that needed a bit of attention. It is very easy to underestimate the work needed to bring a large period property of this type back to its best. In many instances it’s not just cleaning that’s required but a bit of painting and decorating would help immensely”.
“The challenge is to come to a compromise between all the invested parties, especially when there is a tight budget involved. The tenant wants to pay as little as possible and is often not even present at the time of exit. The landlord usually wants as much as they can get for their money. And, hopefully the lettings agency manages expectations for everyone!”.
Town & Country Cleaning works with many independent builders across the South of England, completing on average, two sparkle cleans a week.
